The purpose of the UN Center/UNICEF shop is to raise funds for UNICEF and the United Nations Association of Southern Arizona education program. The UN Center/UNICEF shop exhibits and sells a broad and diverse selection of folk arts and crafts including textiles, ceramics, jewelry, clothing, and sculpture.
The UN Center/UNICEF shop regularly sponsors artisans and craftspersons from around the globe to demonstrate the artistic process. These educational events are part of our commitment to the promotion of dialogue and understanding between cultures.
VOLUNTEERISM
The UN Center/UNICEF, UNA-SA, has enjoyed success for more than 30 years with the help of dozens of dedicated volunteers, our ambassadors to the public. We rely on more than 50 volunteers to lend their diverse backgrounds and talents to not only welcoming and educating visitors to our Center and its arts and processes, but providing information and answering questions about our organization, its activities, programs and services.
A variety of volunteer positions are available, working with the public as well as behind the scenes, providing staff support, preparing program materials, or assisting with press and member mailings, pricing or data entry.
